REQUIRED ADMISSION ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
To be considered for admission as a graduate international student, applicants
must submit official transcripts, mark sheet or other appropriate records
of all secondary and / university level grades/ marks, description of
courses (if available). The recording of grades of one or more colleges/
universities attended upon the transcript of another institution does
not meet this requirement. If the educational system is similar to the
Canadian or American pattern, all courses should be listed with letter
grades (A, B, C, D, E) or a comparable grading scale. Where the European
system (based on subject fields rather than courses) is used, official
record of subjects taken as well as the results of all examination taken
and passed, specifying the level of academic achievement, must also be
submitted. In countries where the unit, credit, or hours for each course
is used: i.e. hours per week should also be listed on the academic record.
All transcripts must be in native languages (where applicable) and an
official English translation of transcript with official signatures and
seals of issuing institutions must be submitted as well.
COPIES OF DOCUMENTS
Photocopies of original documents must bear the original signature and
seal (if applicable) of the registrar/tabulator or examination controller
of the issuing institution - the signature and seal must be original and
separate from the photographic image. Attested or "true" copies
are acceptable only if certified by signature and seal (if applicable)
of an administrative official of the school in which the studies were
completed. In many instances academic documents can be attested by the
notary public of the country the student is applying from. For additional
inquiries as to the verification/request of academic credentials, please
contact the International Admissions Counselor.
FINANCIAL DOCUMENTATION OF SUPPORT
Support statements showing your sponsor's willingness to pay for tuition,
registration fees, books and supplies, and living expenses (if applicable)
for the anticipated study period at North American College, Business and
Information Technology.
You or your sponsor's ability to provide the needed funds must be verified
by a third party such as bank. You may use the enclosed "bank statement"
or you may request a letter from your sponsor's bank indicating the name
of the bank, the account number, account holder's signature, and bank
official's signature. These documents are required for the student visa
at the Canadian Embassy in the home country. It is advised that they be
prepared in triplicate "original copies". One set for the visa
application, one for North American College, Business and Information
Technology, and one for applicant's personal life.
The Certificate of Eligibility accompanies the letter of admission with
additional information about registration procedures. Once your student
visa is approved and you have entered Canada, it is imperative that you
contact the International Admission Office at main campus with all documents
to finalize your entry. Failure to do so, may affect your student status
in Canada and will impede you from registering for classes for the next
consecutive semester. If you have misplaced your Enrolment letter, please
contact the International Admissions office or local office in your country
for a duplicate.
